Zero Export – connect to the net to catch the load, prevent the transmission to the grid is currently a solution sought by many customers. The reason is that in 2021, electricity has not temporarily bought back the surplus electricity. That is why inverter manufacturers and solar installation companies have come up with Zero Export solutions.
FOCUS SOLAR wishes to bring a smart Zero Export solution, ensuring the requirements of electricity. At the same time, customers do not have to be affected by limited solar power.
1. Features of Zero Export solution in the market:
This solution is designed to be built-in to the inverter or connected to a smart meter (Smart Meter) to control the inverter to reduce power so that there is no residual electricity to the grid.
The biggest downside of this solution is:
- More investment costs (CT, smart meter ...)
- Waste of solar energy. (The amount of electricity is greatly reduced, average 50%)
Therefore, making the investment efficiency poor due to cost and capacity reduction, leading to a payback period of up to 10 years (normally only 5-6 years).

2. Zero Export solution provided by FOCUS SOLAR:
FOCUS SOLAR provide solutions Zero Export – connect to the net to catch the load, prevent the transmission to the grid with outstanding features such as:
- Excess electricity that is not transmitted to the grid is stored in battery system (GEL battery) for use at night (Hybrid system).
- The system can be set to limit the amount of electricity generated to the grid from 10% to 30% (Limit export)
- Set zero export by hour or by day. Normally the system still broadcasts to the grid; When there is a requirement of electricity that is not transmitted to the grid, install Zero export.
- The implementation via the web, remotely, no need to interrupt the whole system.
- The device can also connect to SCADA, EMS software
- The device monitors the entire electrical energy of the solar power system, the power consumed by the load, and the electricity generated on the grid.
- The device can be combined with a transmitter. When the grid power goes out, the solar system is still running and reducing the generator's capacity, reducing fuel consumption
- Remote control system when there is a problem such as overvoltage, high frequency, etc.
